Violence Against Women Videos

In collaboration with community partners, the Violence Against Minority Women project has produced 17 TV programs in eight languages: Cantonese, Farsi, Spanish, Persian, Mandarin, Tamil, Tagalog, Korean and Russian. Each production explores violence against women in intimate partner relationships, as seen from the perspective of the abused and social service providers who are assisting immigrant women experiencing abuse.

The Talking About Abuse series sets out to help non-English speakers understand how Canadian law defines domestic violence and provides information on where people in B.C. can go to get help in their own language and in English.
